This is a beautiful photo. Well composed and well executed. Love the color variation from the fire to the total blackness.

I had a lot of fun with this shot. I must have shot well over 200 shots in three sessions. Focus issues and practice led me to higher and higher shutter speeds until I was in the the 1/500 th range and higher. That was when I began to get the detail in the flame I was looking for. Then Linda and Mark were use as judge and jury as I narrowed the choices to this one. Out of all those shots, there were about four wonderful shots.

Gerald tells me he takes many shots before he achieves the one he wants. You are obviously doing this with you last series of photos. I love them. Keep it up, it is most enjoyable to see them.
